The next couple weeks are filled with some neat events and fundraisers.

10/02/2010:  Women of Valor Women’s Conference, Hagerstown, MD  http://www.believe2010.org/Welcome.htm

10/02/2010:  Taste of the Town, Hagerstown to benefit REACH Caregivers.  I will be photographing the event as well as donating a portrait session to be auctioned off in their Silent Auction.  There is also a special Romantic Date Night being auctioned off that includes limousine transportation, portrait session, and dinner for 4.  (I will be the portrait session part in that)  You can find out more here  http://www.reachcaregivers.org/page.php?ipage=20

10/08/10: An Evening on the Riviera in Frederick, MD.  Again, I will be photographing the event as well as providing printed portraits available that evening for purchase with proceeds going back to the fundraiser.  http://www.eveningontheriviera.com/

That’s just the events for the next couple weeks…I will be also 2nd shooting a wedding tomorrow and a family portrait session on Sunday….

Michael and Cathie…where do I even start?  Cathie and I hit it off immediately.  She is a social worker and we have many of the same ideas and thoughts on saving the world.  Cathie has a heart of gold and it shows in everything she does.  I have a feeling that she often puts herself last in order to take care of others.  Every guest at their wedding had an important place in their lives, from former bosses that encouraged Cathie to get her degree to life long friends and mentors.

The ceremony was short and sweet with very special vows given.  Reverend Robin Littlefeather Hannon,  http://www.abidinglovewed.com/index.html , officiated the ceremony.  Cathie, made her own cake and did her own flowers….I’m not quite sure how she managed to do it all, but she did a FANTASTIC job!!!

Thank you Michael and Cathie for allowing me to be a part of your very special day!!!!

Very exciting news…I got a call from a bride to be in the UK!!  She wants me to come there to do their wedding photos!  Talk about exciting!!!  I need to get my passport, ASAP!!!!  Wedding isn’t until 2011, but I can not wait to photograph this wedding.  I have never been to England before (obviously, if I have to get my passport) and I have this romantic yet rustic vision of what it will be like.  Can you tell I am just a wee bit excited???

It’s February…it’s been cold…very cold…and now…snow…and more snow…did I mention even more snow???  18- 24 inches tomorrow…GREAT!!!

To cure the winter blues, I’ve got a few studio projects up my sleeve…I may need a few models for these projects.  One, of which, requires a fog machine and strobe lights (think disco strobes, not studio strobes).  hmmmm….who knows what I might get myself into.   If you are interested in being a model for some of my experiments, give me call…I’ll see what I can come up with.  Like I said…I have lots of crazy ideas going on in my head!!!

We lucked out last Saturday with the weather!!  After rain and cold weather, the heavens opened up and gave us some glorious sun and warmer temperatures.

Sarah and Michael are such a neat couple–lots of giggles and laughs–and they both have the most amazing blue eyes I have ever seen!

So, here is a small sneak peek of our session….

Thank you to all who stopped by!!! I had a wonderful time meeting all of the brides and those who are planning to renew their vows.

If you are a bride stopping by, please leave a comment so that I know you were here!

And the winners are……….(drum roll please…)

And, what did they win??? A free portrait session that includes an 8×10 print and 2 5×7 prints. Winners will be contacted today!!!

Again, thank you for stopping by and I can’t wait to meet with you to discuss your photography needs!!

Finally, a new, user friendly blog!!  I am sure that this is a work in progress, but, now I have tabs with information about Weddings, Portraits, and Senior Portraits…YAY!!!

I am hoping that this will help clients and future clients get the info that they need in a nice, neat format.

Stay tuned for more updates!!
